Get to Know Me!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you some random facts about me! Hopefully by the end you will feel like you know me a little better. So lets go!

1. I was homeschooled for high school

I didn't attend a normal high school. I went to a school, that while they had a campus, most of the classes that they offered were able to be done at home. I would meet with my teacher in person once a month for a progress update and to get my assignments for the month. I loved that I was able to work at my own pace. Because of this I was able to graduate a year early. I honestly think this is where my desire to work from home came from.

2. I Belly Dance

Most people who know me personally, know that I belly dance, but most people don't. I have been belly dancing for well over 10 years now and absolutely love it. It wasn't until recent years that I've started to actually do shows.

I got into belly dancing by accident as weird as that sounds. I was going to El Camino College and was taking a health class. Health classes where done in the dance building. So after every class, I would pass by this dance room and see the students belly dancing. As the semester went on, they started having such beautiful and colorful costumes. At the end of the semester, the dance classes hold a dance concert and when I saw the belly dancers on stage dancing in their costumes, I knew I had to take that class. I enrolled the very next semester, and the rest is history.

3. I took care care of my grandpa

Because I was homeschooled, I was able to be at home and look after my grandpa after he had his stroke. I would make sure he ate, took his pills and help him when he needed it. I am so glad that I was able to that, right up until he died.

4. I love video games

Random fact I know, but I love playing video games. I grew playing Atari and the original Nintendo system. While I don't play as much as I would like to because of my business, when I do have some down time, you can catch me playing my Nintendo Switch

5. I didn't get my license until I was 23

I know, I know! I just didn't have a desire to drive or get my license. I was a homebody anyway, so I didn't feel the need to get my license. It wasn't until I started going to CSULB that I realized, I really needed my license. I would have to take classes at night, so my mom could drive me when she got off of work, which looking back was really selfish of me.

What made me take the final plunge and make the appointment, was my mom got me a car. She told me I couldn't drive it until I got my license, which makes sense in legal terms! So I finally made the appointment, took all the tests, and got my license. Now I love having the freedom to get up and go.

Hope this helps you get to know me little better. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you guys!
